John Pourakis serves as Vice President of Public Safety Protection Agency, Inc. (PSPA), bringing over two decades of leadership in security operations, firearms instruction, and tactical consulting. His well-rounded expertise spans the public and private sectors, making him a respected authority in law enforcement training and high-level protective services.

John has held senior command positions at high-security locations such as JFK International Airport and the United Nations Plaza in New York City, where he managed large-scale security teams in complex environments. He also served as Vice President of Florida Investigations & Executive Protection, and founded and operated multiple firearm training facilities including Continental Shooting Center, St. Lucie Shooting Center, and N.Y. Shooters Inc.

An accomplished instructor, John is certified by the NRA Law Enforcement Division, holds a Florida “K” License for handgun and shotgun instruction, and is a licensed “DI” Unarmed Security Instructor. He is also a Glock Armorer, Low Light Firearms Instructor, and Range Safety Officer, and holds numerous active Florida licenses in security, investigations, and concealed carry.

John currently serves as a Special Deputy Sheriff with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to public service. He has completed advanced tactical training through the Southwest Alabama Police Academy (SAWPA) and the Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex, further solidifying his instructional and field qualifications.

A lifelong supporter of civic engagement, John is an Eagle Scout and former Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a proud member of the Florida Sheriffs Association and the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI). His contributions have earned recognition from the American Legion and the Alpha-Omega Greek Orthodox Community.

At PSPA, John plays a key leadership role in shaping training standards, enhancing field readiness, and mentoring personnel. His operational insight, tactical discipline, and dedication to safety ensure PSPA remains a trusted provider of professional, mission-ready security services.
